Core of the chocolate preparation process are the automatic five rolls refiners HFI, that Carle&Montanari-OPM is constantly improving with the fineness control “MicronSense”, which guarantees a constant fineness in the refining process.

The process occurring in the refiner rolls is basically a function of two factors: particles crushing due to pressure of the rolls and particles crushing due to the shear force generated by the different speeds of the rolls. The machine is equipped with the system protecting the rolls from being damaged by the foreign body in case it is introduced to the machine.

SACMI HFI machines are available in three sizes (513, 518 and 525), the HFI series have an output from 850 up to 1.600 kg/h (at a 20 micron fineness)
